Spark Interact × ALG Talent Specialists
Website recommendation · August 2026

A recruitment website
your team can run.

Our recommendation for ALG is a hand built website on a section based content system: a site your marketing team edits directly, with your existing Bullhorn and Broadbean posting workflow feeding the job board untouched.

Below are two builds we launched recently, the way each one works, and the method we would apply to ALG Talent Specialists.

How we build

Method

We do not build pages. We build a design system, a library of sections, and a set of structured content types. Pages are then assembled from that library by whoever is editing, in the browser, without touching code. It is the reason the sites below can grow without coming back to us.

Design system first

Colour, type, spacing and components are defined once as tokens. Every section inherits them, so the site stays visually consistent no matter who edits it.

Section based pages

Each page is a stack of sections the editor adds, reorders, duplicates or removes. New pages are built from the same library in minutes, not sprints.

Structured content, not pasted text

Jobs, people, sectors and case studies are stored as records with real fields. Add one and it appears in every listing, filter and related block automatically.

Access scoped by role

Each team sees only what they need. Marketing gets the whole site, other teams get a single section, and the framework stays protected.

Applied to ALG

Scope

A recruitment site earns its keep in two places: candidates finding the right role quickly, and clients finding a reason to trust you. The first group below is the core of what we would build. The second and third groups are open questions, and we have kept them separate so it is clear what is a recommendation and what is a conversation.

Core scope

Recommended

Job feed from your existing stack

Recruiters continue writing ads in Bullhorn and multiposting through Broadbean in one click. Roles arrive on the website automatically as structured records, with discipline, location and employment type as real fields.

Job search built for candidates

Filtering by discipline, location, contract type and sector, with live result counts, clean single job pages, one click apply and job posting schema so roles surface in Google for Jobs.

Sector pages built to expand

Aviation leads the story today. Shipping and engineering become new pages on the same template as the business grows, without a redesign and without waiting on a developer.

Worth discussing

Suggestions, not decisions

Both of these are common in recruitment websites and both may suit ALG well. Whether they are right depends on how enquiries reach you today and how the team is structured around them, which is something we would want to understand properly first. We would rather raise them and work through them with you than assume.

Separate candidate and client paths

Splitting the entry points so candidates and clients each get their own proof, content and calls to action, rather than one page serving both. How well this fits depends on where your enquiries come from today and how your team is organised around them.

Consultant profiles

Recruiters presented individually, with photo, specialisation, contact details and their live roles pulled in automatically. Whether profiles work best per person, per desk or per sector is a commercial call for ALG, so we would work through it with you rather than decide it for you.

Separate piece of work

Outside this build

Deliberately excluded from the website scope above, because it deserves its own discovery, scope and quote rather than being folded into a website quote.

Candidate and student login

A portal is a build in its own right, with its own requirements around accounts, permissions, documents and data handling. We would want to sit down on it separately and in depth. If it proceeds, Astute for timesheeting and Xero stay exactly where they are and we connect to them rather than replace them.

What we confirm before quoting the integration

How much data a platform exposes is determined by its own API, not by us. Before putting a number on the job feed we review the Bullhorn and Broadbean API documentation and confirm exactly which fields are available, so the quote reflects real scope. Both platforms are well documented and this is normally straightforward, but we prefer to verify rather than assume.

Who edits what

Role based access

Sites break when everyone is handed access to everything. Permissions are scoped by role from day one, so each team can move quickly inside its own area without any risk to the rest of the site. On the TTW build this is live today: their internal team can see and edit the careers section only.

Always on operations

Post launch

Three levels of support, taken in whatever combination suits the team. The site is built so that none of it is compulsory: your marketing manager can run the content side entirely in house if that is the preference.

Content support

Send through the changes and we make them: new pages, imagery, people, case studies and campaign landing pages.

From $500 per month

Framework and development

New section types and templates, integration changes across Bullhorn, Broadbean and Astute, and structural work as the business grows.

Quoted per project or drawn from a monthly allowance

Hosting, security and performance

Australian hosting, daily backups, 24/7 uptime monitoring, monthly patching cycles and real time vulnerability alerts through Patchstack and Wordfence.

Managed, with one number to call

Search and reporting

Technical and on page SEO, job posting schema, conversion tracking through Google Ads and GA4, and monthly reporting on candidate and client enquiries.

Optional, scoped to objectives

Next steps

Proposal

Spark Interact runs brand, web and search marketing in house, which means one accountable partner across strategy, design, build, integration and ongoing management rather than three vendors coordinating between themselves. We work regularly with organisations where the website is shared across several teams, including a listed agribusiness of roughly 2,300 staff where we manage thirteen websites alongside their communications, technology and investor relations groups.

We would be glad to put a full proposal together for ALG Talent Specialists, and to walk your marketing manager through any part of the two builds above.

Step one

Proposal and budget

Scope, staging and budget touchpoints across design, build, integration and ongoing support, in enough detail to compare properly.

Step two

Working session

A 45 minute session covering sitemap, what the job board needs to do, and the open questions above so we can settle them with you rather than guess.

Step three

Technical discovery

Review of the Bullhorn and Broadbean API documentation, confirmation of available fields, and a locked integration scope and cost.

Step four

Design, build, launch

UX and UI signed off before development. Build, content migration, team training, launch, then the site is yours to run.
