AP-DS had an older e-commerce website that the owners felt was very limited and offered a poor customer experience. They weren’t getting the sales that they expected, especially that their core products were protective gear such as masks and gloves, items that should have increased demand because of COVID-19. They wanted to build a new website that would allow them to be more creative while providing a better user experience. 

They also wanted the site to have better back platform functionality which would allow them to manage their orders and have different pricing levels for wholesale customers and repeat retail customers.
